The poorest types of Asian furniture are those made using particle boards that do not last for long owing to their poor quality. These days, people prefer buying expensive furniture as far as it is quality wood.
The best joints to use in putting together real wood to form furniture are mortise and tenor. The issue of sustainability should be taken seriously, owing to the fact that many Asian forests have today been harvested and the future generations might not have any wood to make furniture if today’s generation is not careful about conservation.
Some furniture retailers are trying to cut out a niche for themselves by creating furniture which they claim is environmental-friendly. This is a good sign of the things that need to be done, and that one can conserve the environment without having to face commercial repercussions.
