All about log home kits

Log homes are not a new concept but it is changing its streak and is getting widely accepted for it. Today, log homes are getting the praise they deserve, log homes are expensive and if a smart salesman tells you that the logs are made from draw knives or are peeled by machines; do not get into their wagon. Some sense of inaccuracy and lack of complete symmetry is what makes log homes brilliant.
Today, log home kits are available with many offline and online stores. These are not generally what you can procure locally. For instance, windows, doors, plywood and shingles are available locally. Hence the kits do not deal with these.
An ideal log home kit would have construction drawing, log walls, ridge beams, tie pole assemblies, porch rafter, porch plates and shiplap siding. Few also have log siding to cover for band boards. This does not include patios or decks.
