Vacation time is the time for fun, joy and trips, but it should not hurt the healthy life of your plants. Before you plan your trip somewhere on your summer vacation, due care has to be given to maintain the plant health before you leave.
It would be ideal if you could check the room temperature, may be a week before you leave. If the day temperature is not more than mid 40s during the day time and not less than late 30s during the night time, it implies that the plants are fit for survival without extra attention.
Additional watering has to be done a day or two before you plan go for the trip. It is highly recommended to keep all your plants in the room on the floor, which is covered by plastics or covers. Curtains should be kept opened to allow proper sunlight to get into the room.

It is never a problem if you are going to reduce the space in your bathrooms. You can even make them look unique and stylish in your own customized manners.
Use vertical lines in the bathroom which will add height to the bathroom. Use tiles to the ceiling so that the small bathroom will look even larger. Small wallpapers or vertical paintings also will give the same effect in a small bathroom.
Use a mirror in the bathroom to add to the width and depth of the room. Never use more than one mirror as it will bring negative results. Using clear shower screens will give an illusion that, your bathroom is spacious as compared to the opaque ones. Using natural light in adequate quantities will make the room lighted and spacious. Avoid dark corners and use illuminators to the perimeter of the room. Keep some shelves near the ceiling and place the lights below them.

There are some effective home care tips which will help you to save time and protect yourselves from dangers in your houses.
Always keep the emergency lights in your reach so that, you will not have to wander in case of power failures. Paint some luminous paints on walls or use some tapes of luminous nature to avoid looking for lights when power failures occur.
When you notice some problems with the paints on the walls or furniture, never go for buying new paints for such a smaller area. Try mixing the water color and paints of your kids and bring the naturalness given by the paint in the same color.
Use tapes to fix the handles of wooden equipments and utensils in your kitchen. This will avoid the risks due to broken or loose handles and will help you to save money from buying a new one in the home.

When the home is designed in a traditional style, the artifacts must suit the character of the home décor. Brass lamps, heavy silks, portraits on the walls, and carved furniture make a statement. The décor items will follow suit whether it is metal statues or lamps, silverwares on the side of the tables or ethnic floor coverings like Persian carpets or durries. Contemporary interiors call for a lot of glass combined with metalware either chrome or matte finished. Colors are a juxtaposition of solids with contrasts and drama created by geometrics and simplicity in soft furnishings and wall finished. Artifacts will be modern art either in sculptures or abstracts. Freeform glassware is also a good option to add some color and texture to a space where the focus is on the modern design dialect. Modern electronics jostle for space in any contemporary home. Large flat screens, music paraphernalia, and accompanying elements have to be worked into the décor with minimum intrusions into the design ambience.
In bedrooms, personal items like bedside photo frames, indoor plants, bowls for knock-knacks, and window dressing can be tuned to complement the designs in the rest of the home so that there is a seamless flow of visual aesthetics all through the home. Alternatively, if the decision is to do up each room in different styles, there will be a variance. Personal touches in terms of preferences in color, textured paints, or the kind of seating will dictate the look in these spaces.
Other more functional spaces have minimal use of decoration. Kitchens are activity zones that can be made cheerful and inviting with pleasant colors of cabinets or countertops, some artwork on the walls, and attractive tiles. These days, utensils, crockery, and cutlery are aesthetically and artistically designed and add a touch of elegance to a dull and sometimes monotonous space.

To draw an analogy between home décor and fashion, a space can be transformed from a cold brick and mortar edifice to a dramatic aesthetic statement with design elements. To embark upon adding design aspects to a room, there are certain prerequisites to bear in mind like the final style required – traditional, contemporary or eclectic – whose personality mist if reflect, what budget limitation restrict the design, whether the ambience created is complementary to the home design, and other such parameters.
Apart from the construction aspects like materials, claddings, pains and tiles, decorative artifacts add a special aesthetic touch to the home. They are instrumental in transforming a house into a home where cold concrete is replaced by a feeling of warmth welcome. This process begins with open space enveloping the house. While the verdant environs add a touch of natural beauty to the external elevation, aspects like a patio, fountains, waterfalls, pergolas, urns, statuettes, and lanterns bring a mystical element to the outdoors.
Stepping out on the verandah, it is the comfortable seating, mural on the wall, or antique swing that creates a charming prelude to the interiors,, Indoors, the options for décor are unlimited.
